At M Salon, we offer Brazilian Blowout & Global Keratin. These treatment are non damaging & benefits all clients that have frizzy, damaged, or processed hair, including colored, highlighted, and straight hair.
What is the difference between the 2 brands?
Brazilian Blowout is the only treatment that will allow you to resume to your daily activities without any restrictions.
Global Keratin requires a 48 hours water restriction to form a stronger bond with the hair cortex. If the hair is washed right after the treatment, some or most of the treatment may get washed out and the results may not last as long as desired. Must avoid activities that will make you sweat and getting the hair wet. And also avoid tucking hair behind the ears, clipping/ ponytail your hair back for 48 hours.
What is the expected results in getting a keratin treatment?
It will defrizz your hair, make it shiny, & reducing styling time. Depending on the texture & curliness of your hair- it will only smooth the curls, but will not permanently straighten your hair.
If your hair is wavy, the treatment will make your hair appear naturally straight. If your hair is very curly, it will minimize frizz while enhancing the appearance of the natural wave/ curl. If you have straight/ frizzy hair, this treatment will eliminate frizz & reduce styling time.
Brazilian Blowout & Global Keratin treatments is not a permanent hair straightener.
If you want your hair board straight without volume then we suggest Yuko permanent hair straightening.
(Note: consultation & deposit is required. Not every client's hair condition will qualify to get the permanent straightening service.)
How long does the treatment last?
Brazilian Blowout will last up to 3 months and Global Keratin can last up to 4 months. In order for treatments to last long, Brazilian Blowout or Keratin Complex shampoo & conditioner is recommended.
Will I lose my volume?
Keratin treatments will not make you completely lose your volume. You will still be able to maintain natural volume & still be able to create bend & memory when blow-dry and/or using a curling iron. But if you are concerned, please make sure your stylist is aware.
I had keratin treatments before, why is my result not the same as my last treatment?
Example: My hair still have curls. Answer: Every treatment's result is different from time to time, hair resistance/ texture does change from time to time, including hormonal issue will have effects to the hair as well, and not every treatment will have the same effect.
Can you color your hair the same day you receive a keratin treatment?
Yes, however, you must color your hair prior to having the keratin smoothing treatment. If you get the treatment & wish to get a color service at a later date, you will need to wait 2 weeks.
